Los Angeles Council District #5 and the office of Councilmember Paul Koretz are seeking an architect to join the Westwood Design Review Board as a Board Member and are interested in receiving applications from qualified architects to serve on the board.
Further details about the Board position can be found below. It is a four-year term and they are seeking an architect that either resides, operates a business, or is employed within the Westwood specific plan area.

Westwood Design Review Board Details:
Under Section 16.50D of the Los Angeles Municipal Code, outlines our Design Review Board Procedures including DRB composition.
Members of design review boards shall be appointed by the councilmember(s) of the council district(s) in which the specific plan area is located.
Design review boards shall consist of a minimum of five and a maximum of seven voting members.
Board composition shall be composed of the following:
- Two Architects
- Two professionals from the following or related fields
b) urban design
c) landscape architecture
The remaining board members do not need to be design professionals to be appointed as long as the above criteria is met.
Also, board members shall reside, operate a business, or be employed with the specific plan area. If no eligible person is known to be available for appointment in the designated disciplines who resides, operates a business, or is employed within the specific plan area, then the councilmember(s) may make the appointment from the community plan area in which the specific plan is located.
Terms of membership is four years with a limit of two terms for a maximum of eight years.
