About Architecture Month
The month of October was officially proclaimed Architecture Month by the City of Los Angeles. The emphasis was on bringing together diverse professional and public-interest groups, including AIA Los Angeles and a host of participating organizations, to celebrate the built environment and bring awareness to the importance of design to the community at large.
The initiative was formally declared by Los Angeles 4th District Councilman Tom La Bonge and Mayor Antonio Villaragosa on Friday October 12, 2007 at City Hall.
