USGBC-LA Chapter Announce Emerging Talent Design Competition

AIA|LA has partnered with USGBC-LA to bring the Emerging Professionals' 5th Annual Emerging Talent Design Competition!

The United States Green Building Council - Los Angeles Chapter's 5th Annual Emerging Talent Design Competition opened registration January 17th.

Partnering with the Long Beach Redevelopment Agency and collaborating with COTE-LA, AltBuild, Architecture For Humanity and neighboring USGBC Chapters to bring opportunity for students and emerging professionals to have their designs considered to be built in Downtown Long Beach (Long Beach Blvd and Broadway).

Teams are encouraged to create sustainable cutting edge designs, while using shipping containers as building materials and inspiration for the construction at the Long Beach site. Students and young professionals, from a variety of backgroudns make up the teams whose common interest is green building. A strong winning design will be considered by the City of Long Beach for the site at Broadway and Long Beach Blvd.

In addition, winning teams will be featured on the USGBC's website and will receive recognition at the 8th Annual AltBuild Expo in Santa Monica. More info and main website:
