AIACC Rising Tides Forum
Friday, June 9, 2017, 1:00PM - 4:00PM
SciArc – 350 Merick Street, Los Angeles, CA

Let’s lift the profession to new heights

Then Senator John F. Kennedy famously observed the impact of economic policy on individuals’ prosperity and cited the adage “A rising tide lifts all boats.” This visual metaphor has since been applied to many other issues, including the power of design to transform the fabric of our society, to improve the built environment, and to promote sustainability and resiliency initiatives. The AIA California Council is hosting a series of Rising Tides Forums to encourage firms to share perspectives, knowledge and best practices in order to raise the architectural profession and the built environment to new heights.

In today’s interconnected world, where our economic prosperity, public safety and environmental sustainability are directly linked, architects have a distinct opportunity-and some might even say responsibility-to share knowledge and demonstrate the value of design to transform the places we work, live and play. However, this responsibility does not emerge from work done in the proverbial silo.

Conversations must be had; strategy must be mapped; we must work together.

In partnership with AIA Los Angeles we invite you to attend this highly interactive session.

Topics will include:

  • Sharing Best Practices
  • Communicating the Value Architects Provide

DATE: June 9, 2017
