Greenbuild 2016 L.A. Legacy Project RFP, Spotlight Ideas Open Now

U.S. Green Building Council-Los Angeles (USGBC-LA) Chapter is excited to release the Greenbuild LA Legacy Project Request for Proposal (RFP), due Jan. 27. You can submit a project plan that may be selected to be built and unveiled at the 2016 Greenbuild Conference. The constructed Legacy Project will be a gift from the USGBC and USGBC-LA Host Chapter to Los Angeles for hosting the conference and will be an enduring means of service, education and thanks to the local community.

The ideal submission should be permanent, scalable, service varied socio economic backgrounds and be accessible to a larger general audience among other carefully chosen criteria.

The Greenbuild LA Legacy Project website also invites the submission of Spotlight Ideas. Separate from the Legacy Project RFP submissions, Spotlight Ideas are a chance to engage your community, project stakeholders, and industry experts in further development of Legacy Project proposals.

Individuals/Teams can use the Spotlight Ideas platform to submit a project idea and develop partnerships to help draft and submit an official Legacy Project proposal, gaining support from your community along the way. You can identify similar projects and like-minded individuals to help expand ideas worth implementing. You may also have the chance to showcase your idea at Greenbuild 2016!

The theme for the L.A. conference is “Iconic Green”, drawing on L.A.’s status as home to some of our nation’s and the world’s most iconic imagery, talent and landscapes, and submissions should consider what ‘iconic’ means for their project / idea. Both the Legacy Project RFP and Spotlight Ideas are open to all, and there is no submission fee.
