AIA|LA Fall 2011 Home Tours Backstory: "Eastbound" with Beth Holden, AIA

AIA Los Angeles takes pride in bringing you the best home tours in the city. Our homes are glamorous, modern, sleek, sexy and have that "je ne sais quoi" that makes them "home tour worthy."

Why did we choose them? Our resident house hunter, Associate Director Carlo Caccavale explains why....

The Green Greenberg Green Residence is a LEED experience - it is a very "green" and beautiful white building. Architect Beth Holden, AIA successfully took a difficult site and met the requirements to make this residence sustainable.

We particularly loved the round shapes of the exterior and interior design, creating an inviting and soothing atmosphere. The house features tremendous care and attention to detail from the custom made kitchen with its splendid counter, to the bathrooms and the furniture in the bedrooms.

Once Beth showed the livable rooftop garden, we were in and the house was on the tour. From the cool fake grass to the views, the BBQ / dining area and hammocks for an afternoon siesta, the house makes the best of the weather conditions and the natural resources of Southern California.
