AIA|LA Fellows Nominating Committee Seeks Interested Potential Candidates by March 16

Call for Architects Interested in Fellowship Nomination: Please respond by Friday, March 16, 2018

The title of Fellow (FAIA) honors architect members who have made a significant contribution to architecture and society, achieved excellence in the profession, and made a significant contribution to architecture and society on a national or international level.

Architects who would like to be considered for nomination by the AIA|LA Fellows Nominating & Mentoring Committee for the 2018-19 process should email a brief note of interest by March 16, 2018, to You will receive a request for some preliminary materials which will help the Committee reach their nomination decision. Those materials will be due to the Chapter Office via email by April 16 and we will provide you with detailed instructions.

Candidates must be current ARCHITECT members in good standing of AIA Los Angeles and have a total of ten years of AIA architect membership (not necessarily consecutive.) If you have any uncertainty about your years of membership, please contact AIA National at 800-242-3837.

Submitting for Fellowship requires a great deal of time, thought and effort, and members need to understand the commitment before embarking on this process. AIA National's website provides detailed instructions, a walk-through of the submittal process, a slide show and podcast, and best examples of successful submittals.
