AIA|LA is Proud to Announce the 2013 Presidential Honorees

August 7, 2013 - (Los Angeles, CA) Educators, civic leaders, media personalities, writers and of course, architects are some of the driving forces that push the architectural profession forward.  The 2013 Board, sensitive to the evolution Los Angeles is undergoing, chose to recognize select individuals who take leadership roles in advancing the profession and thus, the City.

AIA|LA President, Scott Johnson, FAIA, stated, “Los Angeles remains the historic center for experimentation and invention it has always been.  Here we suffer an embarrassment of riches. As it matures, it is now needing to address the challenges of aspiring to be a great city:  denser and better housing, transit, open space, the kind of mixed-use environment that is greater than the sum of its parts.”
